  • Peony

Aha!  It has something to do with the memory card or disk or whatever you call that thing.  I put it in my older camera and got this picture.

And now I have to go get dressed.  It's amost 9 am.  If I'm still in my robe when hubby comes home he'll call me Grammie.  She often wears her robe all day.  She also eats ice cream out of the carton.  When I'm 96 I'll get to do what I want too.  Smile.

  • Peonies alway remind me of my grandmother! I love them but hate the ants that seem to be part and parcel with the flowers!

  • I keep my wife on her toes by getting dressed as soon as I get up at 5 a.m. lol She feels guilty and tries to be dressed by noon.

I am 80 and wondering why I am so heath conscious.

  • I love peonies! Ice cream out of the carton...my kind of gal ;)

  • I'm 63 and Ido what I want to do now.

  • oh, I just love peonies! ~ have some in a mixed bouquet on our table right now too ~

    • Before we had peonies of our own I used to pick them at a home about a block away. The people who lived there went somewhere else all summer. I only picked 1 at a time, because I felt a little guilty about it. I didn't know the people who lived there, so I couldn't ask them if it was all right.

  • Peonies, are beautiful flowers, but....For some reason, I guess it all depends on where you're living at, the ants just love them...

We used to have Peonies....But couldn't go near them, because they were covered in ants..

Mom Dunn had just past away, and the flowers were not in bloom yet, so my husband decided to move the Peonies Bush to her grave sight, right by the headstone....That was only one bush, and the smallest ones at that...He removed the others too, and they were burned.

We were so tired of the ants...Mom Dunn had planted those bushes years ago....My husband remembered them as always being there, so they were probably planted before he was even born...

The sad news is, is that some one needed or wanted the Peonies Bush very badly, because My Brother-In-Law Alan, and his wife Jan, went to visit her grave on Memorial Day, and the bush was gone....I'm just hoping that the person who took it, really enjoys having it, ants and all....

    • I only saw a few ants on ours, and they met their demise pretty quickly once I brought the flowers inside. Sorry about the bush at your mom's gravesite. She's probably enjoying better peony bushes in Heaven, with no ants.
