Disasters

T. drove me out to see our building that burnt.

It's a mess. We're still waiting to see what insurance is going to do. The owner of the powder coating business wants to rebuild his business, but we don't yet know when or where. We would prefer to just sell the land. It's a good location......near WalMart and Lowes and across the road from the airport. Time will tell.Actually this disaster is nothing compared to what happened during the storm Tues. night.Just a few miles from here a tree fell on a trailer, and a 14 year old boy was killed. This is the same trailer park where several of our children and grandchildren lived. The trees, of course are old, as the park has been there a long time. There were lots of other trees down too, but I didn't hear of any other injuries. I didn't know the boy or his family. The news said he lived with his grandmother who is sick. The community has set up a fund to help her with funeral expenses.
But life goes on for the rest of us. My grand-daughters' day care is closed this week, so I've done a lot of babysitting. Plus cable was out on and off yesterday, so not much internet access. Our power was only out Tues. night for about 2 hours. I think others may still be without power. Yesterday, I had 2 caps replaced. I hired 3 older grandkids to babysit the 2 younger ones while I was at the dentist having 2 crowns replaced. Speaking of crowns, the day before that the 2 little girls wanted to play Princesses. We made a tent Castle, and later made crowns. Here is the Castle, with one of the few pictures I have of the little one smiling.

Fire and wind - very destructive sometimes but so very useful at others! So sad that a life was lost. Glad to know you are all safe and well. (Except for the dental stuff - I know that had to be - um - unpleasant.) I hope the insurance company can figure things out soon. As for the two "Princesses" that younger on is a real cutie when she is smiling! I can tell she is mischievous!
Sometimes, insurance companies will take their time, to do the estimate work....What ever your decision is, it will be the right one for you....
Your Granddaughters are darlings!! Big beautiful smiles....So pretty!
sorry about the fire ~ how sad ~
My goodness -- between your fire and saintvi's blackout, it's been a rough few days in your area! I hope the dental work wasn't too bad -- I'm having the crown put on an implant this afternoon!
Your granddaughters look precious.
So sorry about the disaster in your area Gracia. How sad that the building burnt down. But, worse of course is the tragedy of the little 14 year old dying. What a horrible tragedy indeed.
I think one of the little princesses looks like you.
Despite of the disaster the graznddaughters keep smiling!
Love
Michel
Wow! Glad nobody got hurt!! We are supposed to have some storms tomorrow and Tues.
Hoping they don't hit on my way to Zumba Monday afternoon.
Is that the place that you took us to see?
So sorry about the fire?
I don't think so. We probably drove you by our auto repair shop. No fire there, thank the Lord.
