  • My husband is Not Royalty

    Here is Proof Positive:

Oops, looks like somebody spilled coffee.....couldn't have been me. Oh no.

I've been cleaning house before the company comes. I found this brown thing..........it's a pecan, under the couch cushion. That is the end of the couch where hubby lays his head when he's sleeping. Sometimes he sleeps in the bed, but more often in his chair or on the couch. He's a light sleeper. I'm not. You would think that if a princess could feel a pea under....how many was it? 17? mattresses, that a prince ought to be able to feel a pecan under 1 couch cushion. So I guess this proves he's not a prince. I probably thought he was when we were first married. I had a friend who said when the prince comes on the white horse to take you away, watch out.   Guess who gets to clean up after the horse.

Getting serious for a minute. Youngest son is on a plane flying back to Germany to pack up his things. He was due to fly yesterday, but the flight was cancelled. He'll fly back to Rochester Sat. The following Sat. he will drive here to be with family. After that it's back to Rochester to get an apartment and work for at least 2 months. After that, only God knows, and I'm glad He does. We still have hope for the 2 of them for the future.

Went to the dentist today, and had the 2 temporary caps removed and permanent ones put in.  I told the dentist (she's a great gal, with small but strong hands) that a good definition of faith is sitting in a dentist's chair, and opening your mouth.

  • The entire story of the 'prince' had me smiling. :-)

  • Hehe! I love your definition of faith - but I'd venture it is more like trust!

  • ...and the princess wears a high hat with a white veil.... :) :-)
    Love

  • So sorry to hear about your son. :-( Life is full of bumps and rocky terrain. So glad we have God to help us along! God bless your son with wisdom.

The story about your father in law and Elmer made me laugh out loud. So funny!

I need to go to the dentist again too. Not my favorite place.

  • You have me smiling with the prince story....

keep a hopeful heart, for your son....It will happen, if it's meant to be....Something tells me that they're love is still so very strong, and things will work out.....

  • My husband is a professional napper! The older he gets, the more he enjoys that late afternoon snooze. God blesses us with a family, and they surely do hold our hearts... especially when there is trouble. Praying your son will make the right decisions. Lord, give him wisdom and grace.

    • My husband is an accomplished napper too. I enjoy a good afternoon nap myself. In a way it's a good thing it happened to our son now. He needsneeds to make some changes in his life. He knows he needs God's help, and the help of other people. I'm praying for the right people to come into his life. He does love the Lord.

  • I am so sorry to read about your son's cancelled wedding - but God! Isn't life an incredible walk of faith?

  • My wife shows me my little mistakes.

Wow all that flying. I am looking forward to it the end of Aug--Hawaii.

  • Wow! I got a chuckle out of that sofa story!
I will have to read your former post now.
