  • Well, the company has started.  Last night our guests were friends from So. Indiana.  They have a pick-your-own blueberry farm not too far from Louisville.  They brought us some just-picked blueberries.  Yumm.   Diane is very helpful.  She brought up all the sheets and towels they had used, and started the washer.  My daughter said she will make up the beds when she gets here.  That's the TX daughter.  They're on their way here now, she and her husband and their daughter.  They're driving.  Thurs. their oldest son and his wife and baby girl are flying to Indy.  Then our youngest son will drive in for the weekend.  So if I don't post for awhile, you'll know why.  We're having the summer family birthday party on Sat.  I think there are 9 people with summer birthdays!  A lot of work, but it's better than moping around thinking about the wedding that should have been that day.  God has His ways, and He knows what He's doing.   We might wish He'd show us the plan more often, but then we'd never learn to trust Him.  See y'all on Mon. if not before.

  • I hope all the company has a good time and you don't wear yourself out ! Make all the youngsters pitch in!!

    • The kids have just started washing the dishes. I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner. It dawned on me if they were little Amish girls they'd be doing the dishes and not my grown-up kids. They're learning quickly. Next thing I'm going to do is pretend the dishwasher is broken, and make them wash them by hand.

  • I'm glad that you are still celebrating - however, in a different way.

  • Have a great weekend Gracia. So glad that you are having your children around you.

  • Awww ~ have a wonderful time with friends and family ~

  • Have a wonderful time with your family....Some times, God knows what's best, and acts on it...

You may not know the reason now, but when it's time, you will...

I pray, that there is sunshine, warm days, and lots of smiles to make your weekend shine!!

  • Yes, we often need things to think about other then what could have been! So nice to have friends and family to help us through it.

Yes, that pseudo scorpion was tiny. I was a little freaked out myself. Ugh.

I agree with you about Nelson's chicken! I still think they borrowed my mom's recipe. :D She was kind of known for her bbq chicken. :-)

  • Hugs & Prayers
