"A Dog ate your Snake."
That's what my brother announced to my husband as he came in the front door. If you are afraid of snakes, don't worry, it's not real.
My husband went to a Farmers' Market, and decided he just had to buy this snake. He put it on the front porch, hoping to scare me, and told the 2 grand-daughters not to tell me, but the 5 year old can't keep a secret, so I wasn't scared. However I didn't like it. I was planning to let it stay there until he forgot about it, and then move it to a less conspicuous place.
Two weeks later while my brother was visiting, hubby went to the Farmers' Market again. My brother had taken our mother out to lunch for her birthday. When he came in the house, he made that announcement. I didn't know what in the world he was talking about, so I went to see what it was. This is what I saw.
Much better, don't you think? We asked hubby what happened to the snake. He said he took it to the shop and put it in his office.
I wonder if we should name the dog? Any suggestions?

Ironsides? Rusty? Long-Gone? He does look cute but I'm wondering if you might want to have him stand on a couple bricks - to save the porch from all the rust spots!
I like your name suggestions. I think I'll call him Rusty. I'll look for some bricks. That's a good idea.
How clever and amusing. I like your husband.
Murisopsis came up with some good names.
I would call it " Wire " !!

ps : this dog is a work of art.
Coil Boy!! So cute, I suggest that you follow the suggestion of putting him up on blocks, to keep rust from forming on your porch....
much better... I must admit that the snake was creative, but it was still a snake - yuck
I know. That's why I was going to put it in a less obvious place as soon as possible. It turned out I didn't have to. His office at work is a good place for it.
Slinky!
I think you beat Murisopsis. I like Slinky better than Rusty. However I'll probably just call it Dog.
how funny ~
