Brrr! When I went to the eye Dr. this morning at 8 am, it was minus 3 outside. The Dr. was pleased with my eye, but will not give me a prescription for 2 more weeks, in case my eye changes more.
Here are a couple of pictures I took Valentine's Day when we had blowing snow and white-outs all day. It was really strange. One minute we'd see blue sky, and the next all we could see was white. The snow was blowing vertically. Plus it was very cold.

The camera could see the outlines of trees and the grapevine, but I couldn't see them. Not sure what the little orange dot is, probably a spot on the window.

We've had lots of birds at the feeder. The big "snowflake" on the window is a window sticker. It's there to discourage the birds from flying into the glass. We also had an unwelcome visitor.

I don't blame him. He has to eat too. Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy. I'm kind of glad I have a good excuse not to drive. As they say, "It's too cold for man nor beast" out there!

Amen! It has been soooo cold!! I'm wrapped up in my fleece blanket with my heating pad on my lap as I type. The computer room get so very cold - especially when there isn't any sun to help warm up the room...
My computer room is small with no windows, just off the kitchen. It's usually nice and warm. I course, I have to keep our heat turned up because of my mom, and Tom. He has been cold ever since he started taking coumadin. I bought him some long underwear, but he won't even try it on. Why are men to stubborn?
Those first two pictures really capture how it 'feels' out there tonight.
Love the bird shots... cardinal looking very plump and healthy.
Yes, I guess the squirrels want to eat too. So nice of you to feed them all.
@murisopsis comment - I have a fleece bathrobe which is like wearing a blanket... and I have a space heater at my feet... it will move into the bedroom with me when I go.
The two first pictures gives= the ambiance that of blow of wind and snow .The ohers are calmer and you can admire the birds that you feed and a squirrel
Beauriful post about winter.
Love

Whiteouts are so interesting, but sure do not like being caught on the road when they happen! Beautiful photos ~
Looks like you are the food bank for Mother Nature. I am so glad to be living in my home state again, but we need so rain!! Loved your photos.
I like what Frank said about you having a food bank.
your park is snowed in
It sure is snowed in! This morning the temp was minus 3. I think it got up to plus 15 by late afternoon.
We have yet to have much snow here near the south side of Indy, Gracia. A storm is moving in tonight and tomorrow and they're saying up to 8 inches is expected. We've heard that before and are always prepared, but we'll just have to wait and see! Beautiful pictures you have there! We have about 4 unwelcome visitors taking turns on our bird feeder from time to time, but there are a few birds it doesn't seem to bother! Glad to hear your eye is doing better. Saw your posts on FB about it, and I've been praying for you! I had some issues with my eyes myself awhile back, but all seems to be okay now. Have a blessed weekend, and stay warm!
Thanks for praying about my eye. I have to wait 2 more weeks and then I'll get a new prescription. We got a little big of snow last night, but not much.
What an awesome shot of the cardinal! Winter has sure been a doozy for you. Thankful it has been mild here.
Praying your eyes continue to heal and that you can get your new prescription in a timely manner.
